Authentic Hadeeth
(Prophetic Traditions)


It is reported that Abdullah b. Yazid said that Hai’ya’wah said that Abu Uqail, said that he heard Saeed b. Musayyib say that, Indeed the Prophet of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention, said: ‘Whoever reads Qul Huwallahu Ahad (Suratul Ikhlaas) ten times in a day a palace would be built for him, and whoever reads it twenty times two palaces would be built for him, and whoever reads it thirty times, would have three palaces built for him in Jannah. Umar b. al-Khattab said, ‘By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, we would have many palaces! The Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention, said, ‘It is more spacious than that.’ Ad-Daarimi


It is reported that Abu Bakr b. Abi Shaibah Abul-Ahwas Sallam b. Sulaim said that Abu Ishaq said that Amr b. Maimoon said that Mu’aadth b. Jabal said, ‘I was riding with the Propet, may Allah exalt his mention, on a donkey that was called Ufair. He said to me, ‘O Mu’aadth do you know the right of Allah on his slave? And the right of the slave with Allah? He (Mu’adth) said, I said, ‘Allah and His Messenger know best.’ He said: ‘The right of Allah on His slave is that they worship Him, and do not associate partners with Him. And the right of the slave with Allah, the Exalted, is that He would not punish him who does not associate partners with Him. He (Mu’adth) said, I said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, shall I not tell people? He, may Allah exalt his mention, said do not tell them because they will rely on this.’ Muslim


It is reported that Dawood b. Rushaid reported that Al-Waleed (i.e. the son of Muslim) that Ibn Jaabir said that Umair b. Haani’ said that Junaadah b. Abi Umayyah said that Ubadah b. As-Saamit said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention, said: ‘Whoever says, ‘Ash-hadu un-laa ilahah illa Allah wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, wa anna Muhammadun Abduhu wa rasooluhu, wa anna Eesa abdullahi wubnu amatihi wa kalimatihi alqaahaa ilaa Maryama wa roohun minhu wa an’nul Jannata Haq wa an’nun naara Haq, Allah would admit him into Jannah from whichever of its eight gates he wills.’ Muslim


It is reported that Suwaid b. Sa’eed said that Maalik b. Anas said. And this Hadeeth is also reported from Abut- Taahir that Abdullah b. Wahb said that Malik b. Anas said that Suhail b. Abi Saalih said that his father said that Abu Hurairah said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention, said: ‘When the Muslim or believing slave makes wudhu and he washes his face, every sin he committed by looking at evil things would be effaced with the water or last drop of water. When he washes his hands, the sins that were committed by them, would be effaced by the water or last drop of water. When he washes his feet every sin committed by going to unlawful places would be effaced from him by the water or last drop of water, until he would be purified from all his sins.’ Muslim


It is reported that Ishaaq b. Mansoor said that Mu’adth b. Hisham said that his father told him that Qatadah said that Anas b. Malik said that the Prophet of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention, was accompanied by Mu’aadth b. Jabal on his animal. The Prophet said: ‘O Mu’aadth!’ He replied, ‘Labayka wa Sa’dayka, O Messenger of Allah’ The Prophet said: ‘O Mu’aadth!’ He replied, ‘Labayka wa Sa’dayka’ O Messenger of Allah. The Prophet said: ‘O Mu’aadth!’ He replied, ‘Labayka wa Sa’dayka, O Messenger of Allah!’ He said: ‘There is no slave who bears witness that there is no God worthy of being worshipped except Allah, and that Muhammad is the slave of Allah and His Messenger, except that Allah would make him unlawful on the Fire to consume.’ Mu’aadth said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, shall I not inform people of this? He said, ‘Do not inform people, they will rely on this.’ Mu’aadth informed the people about it when the Messenger died. Muslim.


It is reported that Zuhair b. Harb b. Fudail that Am’mar said that Abu Zur’ah said that Abu Hurairah said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention, said: ‘Two words which are light for the tongue, and heavy in the scale, and which are beloved to the Ar-Rahman, Subanallah al-Adtheem, Subhanallah wa bihamdihi.’ Al-Bukhari


Abdullah b. Maslamah said that Maik said that Summis said that Abu Saalih said that Abu Hurairah said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention, said: ‘Whoever says Subhanallah wa bihamdihi one hundred times in a day all his sins would be effaced even if it were like the foam of the sea.’ Bukhari

It is reported that Yahya b. Yahya said that I read with Malik from Na’fi that Ibn Umar said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention, said: ‘If one of you dies, his seat would be shown to him in the morning and in the evening. If he is from the people of Jannah then he will be from them, and if he is from the people of the Fire, then he will be from them. It would be said to him, this is your spot, until Allah will raise you on the Day of Resurrection.’ Muslim


It is reported that Yahya b. Habib al-Harithi said that Khalid who is the son of Al-Harith that Shu’bah reported that Ubaid Allah b. Abi Bakr said that Anas said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah exalt his mention said, ‘that from the Major sins, to associate partners with Allah, disobeying one’s parents, killing one’s self, and making false witness.’ Muslim

It is reported that Abu Bakr said that Ibn Shaibah and Abu Kuraib said that Abu Mu’awiyah that Al-A’mash said that Abu Sufyan said that Jabir said that a man came to the Prophet, may Allah exalt his mention, and he said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, What are the Mu’jibataan?’ The Prophet, may Allah exalt his mention said, ‘Whoever dies not associating partners with Allah would enter Jannah, and whoever dies associating partners with Allah would enter Hell-Fire.’ Muslim
